Just in time for the heat of summer, Classic Auto Air has released the first generation, fully electric, model-specific air conditioning units for MOPAR B-Body cars built with factory A/C during 1968, 1969 and 1970.
B-Body cars from this era include the following models:
- 1968–1970 Dodge Coronet
- 1968–1970 Dodge Charger
- 1968–1970 Plymouth Belvedere
- 1968–1970 Plymouth GTX
- 1968–1970 Plymouth Road Runner
- 1968–1970 Plymouth Satellite
These classic cars listed above can now be upgraded to full-electric controls featuring CAA’s exclusive D.E.R. (Direct Electronic Replacement) climate control panel. The D.E.R. controls provide fully electric operation (no cables) for the Perfect Fit Elite air-conditioning system. 100% aluminum controls bolt directly into the factory location of your outdated cable operated controls, giving you plug-and-play installation convenience. The controls are backlit for night driving. These exclusive D.E.R. control panels give drivers full-electronic control of all heat / cool modes with greater accuracy.
Two Systems Available:
The Perfect Fit Elite system was created for cars that came with factory original air conditioners. For heater only cars, Classic Auto Air’s popular RETROFIT line of aftermarket A/C units has also been updated to fully-electric status for 1968-1970 B-Bodies replacing older, cable-operated controls. The replacement D.E.R. in-dash climate controller is also available for factory heater only cars.
